The Vietnam National Assembly unanimously passed a resolution on 30 November 2024 banning the production, trading, import, transport, storage, and use of electronic cigarettes, heated tobacco products, all types of vapors, and other addictive substances harmful to human health. This ban took effect on 01 January 2025 as part of Vietnam’s efforts to safeguard community health, maintain social order, and ensure public safety.
Philippine businesses exporting e-cigarettes, heated tobacco products, and related items to Vietnam are strongly advised to ensure compliance with Vietnamese regulations and monitor further announcements on any additional guidelines as regards the enforcement of the resolution.
